Professor Huiyuan Zhu has received a 2025 Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award
The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation has announced the selection of 19 outstanding early-career faculty as 2025 Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholars. Among this year’s recipients is our own Professor Huiyuan Zhu, recognized for her exceptional independent scholarship and deep commitment to education.
Professor Zhu’s research focuses on advancing sustainable chemistry and environmental remediation through the development of well-defined materials.
“I’m incredibly honored to receive the Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award,” said Professor Zhu. “This recognition affirms our dedication to advancing fundamental research at the intersection of precision synthesis, operando/in situ characterization, and catalytic evaluation. The insights gained through this work will help establish design principles for efficient catalysts, contributing to global efforts in achieving clean, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions.”
Each Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar receives an unrestricted $100,000 research grant from the foundation. The award supports early-career faculty within the first five years of their academic careers who have demonstrated excellence in both research and teaching.
Congratulations to Professor Zhu on this prestigious honor!
