Associate Professor of Chemistry Ku-Lung (Ken) Hsu has been named a 2021 Emerging Leader by the Mark Foundation for Cancer Research. The Foundation identified seven early-career scientists and will financially support their "high-risk/high-reward cancer research." This is the third class of Emerging Leader Awards by the Foundation with six awards made in 2020 and eight awards made in 2019. Professor Hsu's research project being supported by this award is entitled "Targeting Oncogenic Proteoforms Using Tyrosine-Reactive Chemistry." The Marks Foundation annoucement can be seen here.
