To increase awareness of student organized activities in the chemistry department, what they entail, and highlight the goals and accomplishment of the students involved, ChemSciComm participated in an interview with some graduate students.
Q: Why did you join ChemSciComm? What are the goals?
“We are enthusiastic about communicating science effectively, as well as highlighting activity across the department. It is our goal to do this in a fun and engaging manner and build community across the department!”
Q: In what ways do you accomplish this?
“Posting faculty and student highlights on our website and the hallway TVs! Additionally, we have fun writing the quarterly Periodic(Al) you have seen around Chemistry, Old Chemistry, and PLSB.”
Q: What is the time commitment?
“It ends up being about an hour a week, and we meet every other week.”
You can find ChemSciComm every other Thursday in PLSB 230 from 11am–12pm.
