Congratulations to our outstanding students for recieving a Chemistry Fellowship for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Rachita Dash: The Hunt Fellowship, established by former students and donors to honor the accomplishments of Professor Donald F. Hunt, a faculty member of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia from 1968-2023. Professor Hunt is a leader in bioanalytical chemistry and mass spectrometry.
Julia McAfee: The Hecht Fellowship, established by Professor Sidney Hecht whose mid-career spanned 28 highly prolific and influential years in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia. Currently at Arizona State University, Professor Hecht is a leader in biological chemistry and a great friend and benefactor of our Department.
Karl Ocius: The Adam Ritchie Outstanding Graduate Student Award, established in remembrance of Adam Ritchie (UVa Ph.D., 1968).
